Art exhibit to open in St. Francis

    The Quincy Gallery in St. Francis, Kansas, will exhibit the acrylic art of Krysta Smestad during January and February.
    The public is invited to view the show, meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments at the show’s opening reception Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m. MST at the gallery, 109 N. Quincy St., in St. Francis. The event is being sponsored by the Cheyenne Center for Creativity.
    Smestad is self-taught, developing her own techniques using her hands, rather than a brush, to paint with bright, bold acrylic colors.
