Baby Bear Hugs gala scheduled for April 22

The 2023 ”Wish Upon A Star” Baby Bear Hugs Gala is scheduled for Saturday, April 22, at Red Willow on Main in Yuma, with happy hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. There will be live and virtual auctions, plus entertainment provided by Howl at the Moon’s Dueling Pianos. 

Baby Bear Hugs changes the lives of expecting parents and families with children 0-5 years old in eastern Colorado by providing parenting education, resources and support. It is their goal that all children will become productive, happy adults who give back to their communities. 

Baby Bear Hugs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering all families regardless of financial standing, at no cost to them. Funding for the program comes from grants, donations and fundraisers. 

Tickets for the 2023 gala can be purchased and the virtual auction accessed online at babybearhugs.org. Auction items are available for preview, and bidding will begin Thursday, April 13, and end at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. 

It is not necessary to attend the gala to take advantage of the virtual auction; items will be delivered to the highest bidders who are not in attendance.
