Ballyneal chefs teach new techniques for Thanksgiving dinner

    Overwhelming response to A Very Prairie Holiday Cooking Class led to the City of Holyoke and Ballyneal doubling the number of classes being offered. Even with twice the space available, every spot was quickly filled by people of all ages ready to expand their culinary know-how.
    An initial Nov. 12 class has already been completed in time to put new skills into practice for a Thanksgiving dinner, and the remaining three will put participants in a good position for Christmas cooking.
    When all is said and done, over 40 people from Holyoke and Wray will have learned to prepare side dishes suitable for any holiday party. They also leave equipped with additional recipes that utilize the new skills taught in the class.
