Because nonprofit helps community members in challenging times

In a year that has posed so many challenges to nearly every aspect of life, community members willing to band together to assist others in need remain forces for good in a difficult time.

The Because nonprofit has been fostering that neighborly spirit since its founding in 1986 and revitalized it with a new board last year.

The board consists of president Mary Fulscher, vice president Gayln Einspahr, secretary/treasurer Karina Davis, and board members Kayla Kafka and Steve Young.

The nonprofit does not assist only with a specific type of need or situation but is available to potentially assist with a variety of needs.

“We are open to any need, whether it’s something simple or something large,” Kafka said.
