Better Beef Makers win 5 straight
For the fifth consecutive year, Better Beef Makers 4-H Club was crowned grand champion in the Phillips County Fair parade Saturday, July 27, on Interocean Avenue in Holyoke.
Like many other floats, the Better Beef Makers played up the Bushels of Fun theme with an oversized basket. They also took first place in the youth maxi division, followed by Raising Ranchers 4-H Club and Holyoke FFA.
Civic group winners included Heginbotham Library, first; Dragon’s Wagon Preschool, second; and Assembly of God Church, third.
