Champions to be crowned at PCR

Racers have been racking up IMCA points all season at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, and this Friday will be their last chance to make a move in the standings. On Aug. 25 the races begin at 7:30 p.m., and when it’s all said and done, season champions will be crowned.
Although Holyoke still has nonpoint races scheduled in coming months, raceway promoter Joe Bellm is taking advantage of the big championship night to show some fan appreciation. “It’s going to be as kid-friendly as possible,” he said. At the end of the night, there will be competitions for the kids and the chance to meet some racers and check out their cars.
