Change in Raceway opener

Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, April 14, Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke is moving its IMCA divisions of modifieds, stock cars, sport mods, hobby stocks, sport compacts, plus dwarf cars to Sunday, April 15, at 4 p.m.
Raceway promoter Joe Bellm noted that there are no other race tracks running within a 300-mile radius as he encouraged racers to take part in their first race of the season Sunday.
Racers can start on their IMCA national, regional, state and local points.
“This is the fastest track in Colorado,” Bellm said, as an enticement for fans who love to watch dirt track races.
Rescheduled for Saturday, May 12, starting at 6 p.m. at PC Raceway is the URSS IMCA RaceSaver sprint car spring nationals race. Additionally, the performance of Whiskey Kate and 3 Hundred Days of Shine distillery, on location, have been moved to May 12, as well.
