Chase County Fair features Brothers Osborne
The Chase County Fair in Imperial, Nebraska, has done it again, booking the 2017 Vocal Duo of the Year — Brothers Osborne — for the country concert Friday, Aug. 17.
Entertainment Chair Alex McNair expects this concert to be yet another to feature some of the best emerging artists in country music. Songwriter and performer Kendell Marvel will open for Brothers Osborne.
In 2017, Brothers Osborne took home the titles of Vocal Duo of the Year and New Vocal Duo of the Year at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards.
This year, they won Vocal Duo of the Year and Video of the Year with “It Ain’t My Fault.”
Their accolades don’t stop there.
In November 2017, Brothers Osborne pulled off a huge upset for the Country Music Association’s Vocal Duo of the Year, beating out Florida Georgia Line for the honor.
They also landed CMA’s Music Video of the Year with “It Ain’t My Fault.”
In addition, the song earned a Grammy nomination, the third of their career.
Brothers come from a working-class family
Two sons from a working class family, John and TJ Osborne grew up in a small, Maryland water town writing and playing songs for friends and family in their father’s shed.
John moved to Nashville first to play in other bands, and two years later TJ joined him.
It was then they formed Brothers Osborne as a twang-and-crunch duo that blends equal parts country and rock into one of the freshest, most identifiable sounds to come out of Nashville in recent years.
As a result of their success, they toured with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert.
Brothers Osborne releaseed their sophomore album, “Port Saint Joe,” in April.
