Christmas church services planned

Christmas is next week, and many area churches are planning special services on Christmas Eve, Thursday, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25.

First Baptist Church and Vida Abundante will have a combined service Christmas Eve at 6:30 p.m.

First Christian Church and Cornerstone Ministry Church are joining together for a Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center.

First United Methodist Church’s candlelight service is Christmas Eve at 7 p.m.

Holyoke Assembly of God will meet at 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Holyoke Church of Christ will be celebrating Christmas at its regular Sunday service at 9 a.m.

Pleasant Valley United Methodist is planning a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.

St. Patrick Catholic Church will have Mass Christmas Eve at 4 p.m. and Christmas Day at 8 a.m.

Venango (Nebraska) Community Church is celebrating Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.

Zion Lutheran Church will have a candlelight service at 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve and a Christmas Day service at 9 a.m.

Zion Lutheran Church Ministerio Hispano has a special service planned Sunday, Dec. 20, at 11:30 a.m.
