Churches find online ways to reach out for Easter
Churches all over the world have found new or refined ways to connect with their congregations as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Holyoke area churches are no different as they connect with the community via Facebook, websites or YouTube videos, among other opportunities.
During Easter week, the Enterprise is glad to share those public sites for worship through area churches.
Cornerstone Ministries
Cornerstone Ministries is encouraging parishioners to tune in to www.flatironschurch.com for live Easter Sunday services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Fairfield Covenant
“Lessons Learned on the Road to Emmaus” will be the sermon hosted on the Fairfield Covenant Church Facebook page at 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
First Christian
Easter Sunday services will be live on the First Christian Church’s YouTube channel at 10 a.m. Services can be accessed at www.holyokefcc.org/get-involved.
First United Methodist and Pleasant Valley United Methodist
Sunday worship for First UMC begins at 9:30 a.m. on the church’s Facebook page, and a Good Friday service is set for 7 p.m. on April 10.
Pleasant Valley UMC will have a 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service on their Facebook page, with a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service on April 9.
Seventh-day Adventist
The Easter message for the Seventh-day Adventist church will be broadcast on YouTube Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. The link to the livestream video is https://bit.ly/2QzPbWy.
Venango Community
Venango Community Church will have a pre-recorded service which can be found by searching Venango Community Church on YouTube.
Vida Abundante
Vida Abundante has Facebook services in Spanish on Esmirna Lopez’s Facebook page on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
Zion Lutheran
Zion Lutheran Church is putting worship materials on YouTube. The materials can be found on Gary Rahe’s YouTube channel.
