Churches join to host community Christmas Eve service

This year, First Christian Church, First Baptist Church/Vida Abundante, and Cornerstone Ministries are teaming up to host a community Christmas Eve service. It will run 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Holyoke High School auditorium Tuesday, Dec. 24, and everyone is invited to attend.

The service will be centered on the passage Luke 2:15-20 and will address the topic “Remembering the time we first saw Jesus.”

Several other services are scheduled at individual churches Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well.

Pleasant Valley United Methodist will have a 5 p.m. service Tuesday, Dec. 24.

First United Methodist Church will have a 7 p.m. Christmas Eve Service.

Holyoke Assembly of God is hosting a Christmas Eve service starting at 6 p.m.

St. Patrick Catholic Church has scheduled Mass Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 4 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 8 a.m.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amherst will have a Christmas Eve service at 4:30 p.m. and a Christmas Day service at 9 a.m.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Venango, Nebraska, will have a Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m. The church has also scheduled a New Year’s Eve service on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 5 p.m.

Venango Community Church will have a Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m.

Zion Lutheran Church is hosting a candlelight service Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. A Christmas morning service is scheduled for 9 a.m.
