Circus Wonderland brings the big top experience to Holyoke

Circus Wonderland made a pit stop in Holyoke the evening of Sunday, May 7, providing entertainment for the community’s families. “Alice in Wonderland” greeted Holyoke for a second time following the Dragon Theatre play, this time with magic tricks and acrobats instead of the traditional storyline.

Following the queen, the Cheshire Cat seemed to pop out of nowhere with five wooden boxes stacked atop each other. The Mad Hatter, White Rabbit and Queen of Clubs then paced around the arena with unicycles while completing an obstacle course.

One of the circus performers demonstrated a spinning show, where he spun a large pyramid-shaped metal tube, then moved onto a large cube-sized metal object, where he turned it around and created a mesmerizing series of lines and blurs for the audience.
