City Council OKs PC Telcom cable deals

Holyoke City Council approved a deal to purchase property from PC Telcom and set a schedule for the removal of cable TV equipment from utility poles at a special meeting Thursday, July 26.
The property, located in the 300 block of West Denver Street, has been used by PC Telcom in its cable TV operation. The City agreed to purchase the property for $125,000 and will place $10,000 in escrow with the Phillips County Abstract Company, pending the negotiation of the real estate purchase agreement.
Mayor Orville Tonsing confirmed that PC Telcom will remove the electronics from the building prior to the transfer of ownership. City Attorney Al Wall said that he will begin drafting the agreement this week.
