Classic show of classic cars draws courthouse crowd Saturday
Gearheads flocked to Holyoke last Saturday, June 22, for the 19th Annual Dandelion Daze, where 54 cars and bikes were shown and shined on the lawn of the Phillips County Courthouse.
The show lasted from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and breakfast and lunch were served by Holyoke FBLA. Vendor booths were also set up on the lawn, and Dozer Games parked their mobile gaming center on the courthouse’s east side.
The show was followed by Cruisin’ Down Main, where vehicles were driven south on Interocean Avenue to the Regent Park parking lot.
Ron and Sonia Hubbard of Holyoke won the People’s Choice Award for their 1954 Oldsmobile Starfire, and Larry and Shirley Cohn of North Platte, Nebraska, won the Rodder’s Choice Award for their 1955 Pontiac Safari. Bob DeBoer also took home Best Bike for his 1949 Harley-Davidson FL.
