Congressman Ken Buck announces 2023

On Dec. 1, U.S. Congressman Ken Buck of (CO-04) announced the beginning of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition. Each spring, the House of Representatives sponsors a nationwide high school arts competition as an opportunity for artistic students in the Fourth Congressional District of Colorado to showcase their talents.

“It is my honor to invite and encourage students throughout the Fourth District to share their artistic creations by participating in the annual Congressional Art Competition, where the winning entry will be proudly displayed at the U.S. Capitol,” Buck said. “I’m continually amazed by the remarkable talents of these young artists, and I’m positive this year will be no different.”

High school students residing in the Fourth Congressional District are eligible to enter.

All submissions must be original in concept, design and execution; and may not violate any U.S. copyright laws. Any entry that has been copied from an existing photo or image – including a painting, graphic, or advertisement – that was created by someone other than the student is a violation of the competition rules and will not be accepted. Work entered must be in the original medium: that is, not a scanned reproduction of a painting or drawing.
