County sees 10 new cases
Ten new positive COVID-19 cases have emerged in Phillips County, representing a 50% increase in the past week.
Since last week’s report, Colorado has recorded an increase of 3.6% in COVID-19 cases, matching the rate of the previous week and lower than 3.8% the week before that.
Kiowa County remains the only county in Colorado with no reported incidences of COVID-19.
Positive COVID-19 cases were reported Monday, Sept. 14, as follows:
— Northeast Colorado: 1,683 cases (increase of 120 in last week), including Morgan County, 725; Logan County, 789; Yuma County, 72; Washington County, 55; Phillips County, 30; and Sedgwick County, 12. The Northeast Colorado Health Department also reported that Morgan County has had 48 deaths, Logan County five and Sedgwick County one.
— Colorado: 61,699 cases in 63 counties, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. This represents a 3.6% increase in the past week. Among people who tested positive for COVID-19, 1,990 have died, and 1,894 listed COVID-19 as the reason of death on a death certificate.
— United States: 6,503,030 cases for a 3.9% increase this week and 193,705 total deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
— The world: 28,918,900 confirmed cases for 6.2% increase this week and 922,252 deaths for a 3.5% increase this week in 216 countries, areas or territories, according to the World Health Organization.
