COVID-19 numbers update

Positive COVID-19 cases were reported Monday, Jan. 4, as follows:

­— Northeast Colorado: 6,845 cases (increase of 214 in the last week), including Morgan County, 2,180; Logan County, 3,307; Yuma County, 564; Washington County, 355; Phillips County, 292; and Sedgwick County, 147.

The Northeast Colorado Health Department reported Morgan County with a total of 83 COVID-19 deaths, Logan County 56, Washington County 11, Yuma County 13, Phillips County eight and Sedgwick County two.

— Colorado: 343,435 cases in 64 counties, an increase of 16,767 over last week’s numbers, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Among people in Colorado who tested positive for COVID-19, 4,944 have died, and 3,907 have listed COVID-19 as the reason of death on a death certificate. As of Monday, Jan. 4, a total of 113,700 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Colorado.
