COVID-19 positivity rate decreases at MMH

East Phillips County Hospital District board members had reason to celebrate Tuesday, March 22, after a very positive Quality Committee report from Karen Hooker, director of quality at Melissa Memorial Hospital, at the board’s regular monthly meeting.

One piece of good news from Hooker was that the COVID-19 positivity rate had decreased.

She also said that MMH had lessened its mask requirements for employees who had been vaccinated.

Hooker’s other positive reports regarded hospital acquired infections, antibiotic timeout procedures, uplifting survey comments from patients and more.
