CSP hosting Youth Academy July 14-20

    The Sterling office of the Colorado State Patrol is currently seeking applicants for the 2019 Colorado State Patrol Youth Academy, which will be held in Golden from July 14-20.
    The goal of the Youth Academy is to assist in the development of future community leaders through team exercises and skill building. Training will include:
    — Team building and leadership.
    — Alive at 25 — defensive driving course.
    — Ethics and law enforcement.
    — Intro to law enforcement driving.
    — Firearm safety and familiarization.
    — Police communications.
    — History and philosophy of the Colorado State Patrol.
