CSU gardening program accepting applications

The Colorado Master GardenerSM program in the Golden Plains area will be accepting applications until Nov. 1.
The program will run from 2019-2020. After an up-front payment and the first year’s training, half of the required volunteer hours will be due by Oct. 31, 2019. In the second year, the rest of the volunteer hours are due, along with a $25 fee for re-enrollment.
Classes will be taught in different counties over an 11-week period within the Golden Plains area by distance education. If there are fewer than four students enrolled per county, travel will be required.
Classes begin in late January and will run through early April. Classes will be held on a designated weekday, lasting from 9 a.m.-noon for the morning and 1–4 p.m. for the afternoon. In 2019, there will be four classes to watch at home. The final April class is local and will cover orientation to the code of conduct and CMG requirements.
