Dance Fuzion takes locals down the rabbit hole for Wonderland show
Holyoke Fitness Club’s Dance Fuzion classes wowed a large crowd at the Holyoke High School auditorium last Saturday, May 4, with their new Alice in Wonderland-themed show, titled “Wonderland.” The show was directed by Angela Jacobs.
Besides the white rabbit, mad hatter, Cheshire cat and Alice, students were grouped into rabbits, little Alice and queen of hearts, flowers, tweedles and cards, caterpillars/butterflies and mad hatters.
Rabbits performed “Always Late” and “Rock Around the Clock.” Little Alice did “Dust on the Bottle” and “Wonderland,” and the queen of hearts performed “Fancy.”
Flowers danced to “Wildflower” and “Garden Song.” Tweedles performed “It Takes Two,” and the cards did “Hand Clap” with Alice and “Poker Face” solo.
Caterpillars performed “Who Are You,” “Who Said” and “Where’s the Party,” and the butterflies danced to “Wings.”
The mad hatters and four main characters performed “Party People,” “BZRK” and “Mad World.” Alice and the Cheshire cat danced to “Technicolour Beat.”
Wrapping up the first act, “Tea Party” was performed by the main characters, mad hatters, rabbits, queens and rabbits. The finale, “Rise,” included the main characters, cards, mad hatters, queens and rabbits.
