Diabetes webinar to cover grocery shopping

    Dr. Judy Weimer will be presenting “Grocery Shop with Success” via a webinar on Tuesday, Aug. 29, from noon-1 p.m. The diabetes webinar will be broadcast live to one or more sites in Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld and Yuma counties.  
     The event will allow people to learn about the topic and ask questions. There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested for adequate seating and handouts.      Proper nutrition is vital to the treatment and maintenance of living with diabetes. Finding the “right foods” at the grocery store can be frustrating for people with diabetes and their family members. Participants will gain an understanding of the American Diabetes Association 2017 Diabetes Nutrition Recommendations, review how to read food labels and identify simple steps for grocery shopping success.
