Doctor charged with crimes related to transportation of child pornography

Dr. Justin Bowen Neisler has been charged with crimes related to transportation of child pornography, according to a press release by Melissa Memorial Hospital.
The release said MMH is deeply disturbed and saddened about the Holyoke hospital’s former physician resident through the Centura Family Residency program.
“We are troubled by these allegations, which are in stark contrast to both our mission and core values. There is simply no place for any behavior that exploits children in our community, or for any individual that circumvents the systems and processes we have in place to ensure their safety,” said the release.
Since the first notification from the FBI, MMH has been working with law enforcement so they can conduct a thorough criminal investigation. Due to the FBI’s ongoing criminal investigation of all 17 facilities affected, MMH has been provided very limited information to date.
“The health and safety of our patients is our No. 1 priority, and we are focused at this time on cooperating fully with the FBI investigation,” said MMH.
