Don’t break the bank with DIY projects
While some home improvement projects can cost a pretty penny, some upgrades to your home don’t have to cost an arm and a leg.
One example that’s available at Adams Lumber in Imperial and Grant is vinyl tile.
“(Vinyl tile) is just one material and you cover it over your existing floor,” Adams Lumber designer Christine Clevenger said.
“If you’re going to do a tile, you have to tear up floor, you have to do an underlayer of grout; you have four or five different products you have to use,” she added.
Backsplashes for kitchens are another cost-friendly option for updating areas.
Adams has options for mosaic tiles as well as peel-and-stick.
“But the peel-and-stick can be kind of pricey compared to some tiles,” Clevenger added.
