Farnes, Brauer engaged

    Anthony Brauer and Brianna Farnes of Holyoke are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. Brauer proposed to Farnes on their future home build site at Painted Arrow Ranch on Dec. 20, 2017.
    The future groom is the son of Linda Bakay of Palmdale, California, and Steve Brauer of Napa Valley, California, and the grandson of Ronald Bakay of West Pueblo. He works as a cattleman at Timmerman Feeding Company and is the owner of Brauer Woodworks, where he creates wood projects of all kinds.
    The future bride is the daughter of Lynda Speck of Littleton and Johnny Farnes of Wellington and the granddaughter of Patricia Farnes and Joyce Speck, both of Holyoke. She works as a ranch hand for Ptomey Cattle and is an aspiring horse trainer and barrel racer. She is also the owner of Enchanted Moments Art & Photography, where she enjoys working with those with special needs for art therapy and doing family portraits.
    The couple moved to Holyoke in the fall of 2013 to be closer to family and to embrace living out in the country. They are to be married at their family ranch in Holyoke on Aug. 18, 2018.
