Fashion show to raise funds for breast cancer awareness

Looking for some new pieces to add to your wardrobe this fall? You can go shopping and support a good cause at the Faith, Hope & Fashion event Sunday, Oct. 16, from 2-4 p.m. at Sunset View Community Center, 330 W. Kellogg St. in Holyoke.

Admission is free, but seats could fill up fast. Attendees will enjoy light refreshments and drinks while watching a fall fashion show coordinated by The Turquoise Chandelier. Items in sizes small to 3X will be available for purchase at the event. There will also be gift bags and door prizes.

During intermission, Melissa Memorial Hospital’s Megan Garrett will give information about mammographies and breast cancer.

Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation is asking people to submit a photo, a few sentences about a loved one who is currently fighting or who has fought breast cancer, and a small fee by Saturday, Oct. 15. The photos will be on display on the Fighters Wall at the Faith, Hope & Fashion event.

Photos can be sent to Penny Bailey, MMHF executive director, at mmhfoundation@pctelcom.coop or 1001 E. Johnson St., Holyoke, CO 80734.

Proceeds will go to the MMH Pink Out Program, which helps locals get mammograms.

For more information, call Bailey at 575-791-8391.
