Food, medication deliveries can help seniors

People over 60, and especially those over 80, are being warned by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment that they are at a higher risk of getting very sick from coronavirus COVID-19. People who have chronic medical conditions such as diabetes or heart, lung or kidney disease are at higher risk as well.

Older people with chronic medical conditions are at the highest risk.

As the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that such people stay home if possible, there are a variety of local resources to help Holyoke’s senior citizens access necessities while avoiding crowds.

Area Agency on Aging can deliver meals
