Garden club meeting is July 28
In the time pre-COVID, new Holyoke resident Jayne Locas contacted the Phillips County CSU Extension office about a garden club in the area. Though one existed in the past, there wasn’t an active group. Extension agent Linda Langelo, however, was quick to offer her support, and the two arranged to get a new club started.
“I just thought it’d be neat to revive a garden club in Holyoke,” Langelo said.
Now that organizations have the go-ahead to meet in person as long as precautions are taken, the group has resumed its monthly meetings. The next one is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m. at 610 S. Baxter Ave. Anyone who is interested is invited to attend and should take a lawn chair and a mask.
