The Grinch steals the spotlight
Holyoke was transformed to Whoville on Monday, Dec. 6, for Country Christmas, coordinated by Holyoke Chamber of Commerce.
New to this year’s event was a community Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the courthouse steps. Local businesses submitted ornaments, and the tree symbolized hope, determination and togetherness.
Other fun activities included the Parade of Lights, soup supper, free movie for kids, hayrides, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and downtown shopping specials.
