Holy Week services set
Churches in and around Holyoke have services planned for Holy Week through Easter Sunday, April 4.
Cornerstone Ministry
Flatirons Church’s Easter Sunday message will be livestreamed at the Peerless Theatre at 9 a.m.
Emerson St. Church of Christ
Sunday morning service will be held at 10 a.m.
Fairfield Covenant Church
Easter Sunday service will begin at 10 a.m.
First Baptist Church
A sunrise service will begin at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, followed by breakfast. Sunday school service will start at 9:30 a.m. Regular service will begin at 10:30 a.m. A 5:30 p.m. Easter Sunday service in Spanish will be led by Ismael Lopez of the church’s Vida Abundante ministry.
First Christian Church
Bible study will be held at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Easter service will start at 10 a.m. with baptism service to follow.
First United Methodist Church
Good Friday service will begin at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, service will begin at 10 a.m. The full Easter service will be live on the church’s Facebook page.
Holyoke Assembly of God
On Good Friday, communion service will begin at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday breakfast will start at 9:30 a.m., with a service to follow at 10:30 a.m.
Holyoke Church of Christ
On Sunday, the church will hold its regular 9 a.m. service followed by Bible class at 10 a.m.
Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church
Maundy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, worshippers will meet at Yuma county roads U and 54 at 6:15 a.m. for Easter sunrise service. Following the service, they will return to the church for Easter breakfast. Easter worship will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by an egg hunt.
Seventh-day Adventist Church
The 9:45 a.m. Sabbath school and 11 a.m. worship service will be held Saturday.
St. Patrick Catholic Church
Holy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. Good Friday service will be held the following evening at 7 p.m. The church’s Easter vigil will begin Saturday at 8 p.m. Easter Sunday service begins at 8 a.m.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Amherst and Venango
Maundy Thursday service will be held in Venango at 7 p.m. Good Friday service will be held in Amherst at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, a 7 a.m. service will be held in Venango. In Amherst, Easter service will begin at 9 a.m.
Venango Community Church
The church’s Easter breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., with a service to follow.
Zion Lutheran Church
A noon prayer service started Monday and will run through Friday. Special services will be held on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday at 6:30 p.m. Easter services will be held at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and will include balloon launches. Easter service in Spanish will be held at 11:30 a.m.
