Holyoke’s never seen a play like ‘No Body Like Jimmy’
Optics are everything in politics, and Ralph Vanlandignham is determined to make his wife, Eloise, look good. That’s easier said than done when a dead body arrives right in the middle of her campaign party full of high-profile potential donors.
Phillips County Players presented a three-day run of “No Body Like Jimmy” at the Phillips County Event Center this last weekend, Aug. 3-5.
The dead body, Jimmy, was propped up to look like a living — though admittedly worse for wear — guest and was played brilliantly by Dillan Tharp in his first appearance with PCP. Among the characters, there were varied perceptions of Jimmy, but if the laughter was any indication, the audience unanimously agreed that Jimmy was a riot.
