Holyoke baby is first in 2018 at Sterling hospital

Newborn baby Ramon Manuel Calzadillas has already earned bragging rights when he was named the first baby of 2018 at Sterling Regional MedCenter. Ramon, born Thursday, Jan. 4, is the son of Yahaira Calzadillas, in front, and Hector Calzadillas, back center, of Holyoke. They are pictured with nurse Carol Herrboldt, at left, and Dr. Sidney Adler. The doctor said it was his first time delivering a New Year’s baby. Ramon is welcomed by siblings Irving Bencomo, Rubi Bencomo and Dulce April Calzadillas. The family won a basket of baby supplies provided by the birthing center.
