Honor Flight a chance to pay it forward

The mission of the High Plains Honor Flight is easy: give veterans an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to see the memorials built in their honor. But making that a reality isn’t always easy.

That’s why people like the Moss family find it important to contribute to this worthy cause.

Delmer Moss, who recently died, got to go on the Honor Flight in September 2016. He had served in the Army from 1952-1954 with time spent overseas in Korea. The trip was so special to him that on his way home he told his daughter that he wanted his memorial funds to go to the Honor Flight.

The Moss family said last week that they didn’t have a second thought when the Honor Flight was brought up for a memorial, and they are thrilled to be able to pay it forward for other veterans to go on the trip.

High Plains Honor Flight is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is 100% funded by donations.
