Hunter Donovan selected for 2022 Colorado Girls State

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 90 of Holyoke is pleased to announce that Hunter Donovan of Haxtun was selected to attend the Department of Colorado Girls State for 2022.

Donovan attends Fleming High School and applied through the online application form of the State Department American Legion Auxiliary.

The 2022 Colorado Girls State program was held on the University of Northern Colorado campus June 4-9, and participants could obtain college credits.

Donovan was excited to expand her public speaking, communication and critical thinking skills through the Girls State program by being involved in learning about the tiered legislative government.

Colorado Girls State is a statewide program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary with a goal to provide an outstanding, unique and coveted educational opportunity for the young women of the nation that instills the basic ideals and principles of American government.
