This Easter egg and 11 others are hidden around Holyoke for a community scavenger hunt that lasts through Easter Sunday.

Join in Easter egg hunt: social distancing edition

Coronavirus concerns mean that Holyoke’s annual Easter egg hunts aren’t an option this year. Nevertheless, folks will have a chance to get in the Easter spirit with a community scavenger hunt that allows for appropriate social distancing.

Twelve eggs are hidden within Holyoke city limits in public places. They will remain out through Easter Sunday. The challenge is to go out and find every one of them. Take a picture at each site or simply list where you found them and send it in to First Christian Church for a chance to win a prize.

Answers or photos can be sent to fcc@pctelcom.coop or to First Christian Church on social media. Everyone who finds all 12 eggs will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize.

Each egg has a unique illustration that represents part of the Easter story. To learn more about what the illustrations mean, a QR code on each egg can be scanned by pointing a phone’s camera at it.
