Junior quilting option added to Row by Row Experience

Row by Row Experience is returning to Holyoke at Creative Traditions June 21-Sept. 4, and this time, Row by Row Junior will be joining it.
Row by Row began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York. Today, thousands of stores in the U.S., Canada and Europe welcome travelers through their doors. Travelers collect row patterns, then create stunning quilts with those rows — and no two are alike.
The kids’ version, Row by Row Junior, was offered for the first time in 2017. It was the largest initiative of its kind ever attempted in the sewing industry. Kids 8-14 years old visit shops in person and collect free sewing patterns designed just for them. They’ll find encouragement and be inspired by the colorful, creative world of sewing right in their own hometown. This is the first year that Creative Traditions will be offering Row by Row Junior.
“We want to introduce kids to the intrinsic benefits of learning how to sew,” says Janet Lutz, creator of Row by Row Experience. “Making things on today’s modern sewing machines incorporates all the elements of STEM education in an artful way that builds self esteem and perseverance.”
