Lock is state fair grand champ
Phillips County was well represented in 4-H competition at the Colorado State Fair.
Alyssa Lock’s global citizenship project earned her first place, champion in the class and grand champion in the division.
Additional awards are as follows:
— Cake decorating: Holley Ely, qualifier; and Tessa Gales, qualifier.
— Clothing construction: Kynlea Nelson, second, reserve champion; and Kaylee Anderson, fifth.
— Electric: Owen Brubacher, second, reserve champion.
— Foods and nutrition: Braylin Herman, sixth.
