Making a splash into summer at the swimming pool

After being closed due to the pandemic and boiler problems, Holyoke Municipal Swimming Pool is open for the summer.

Open swim hours are Tuesday-Friday, 1:30-5 p.m., and 1-5 p.m. on the weekends.

Lap swim hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6-7 a.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 5-6 p.m.

Water exercise is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:15-9:15 a.m.; and Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Holyoke Swim Club uses the pool for practices Monday-Friday.

The pool is used for swimming lessons Tuesday-Friday 9:30-11 a.m. The first sessions began June 8-25, and the second will run July 6-23.

Pool manager is Karla Pargas. Lifeguards for the summer include Jaxson Hutches, Traeli Hutches, Summer Martin, Lali Marquez, Josie Schlachter, Rylee Schneller, Emily Jelden, Ethan Schneller, Ethan Andersen, Erin Andersen, Elby Jo Kropp, Emily Krogmeier, Elise Krogmeier, Sabryn Burris, Kristin Vieselmeyer and Megan Humphreys.

Water exercise instructors are Corey Humphreys and Dee Ann Dubbert.
