Master Chorale to perform May 6 at NJC in Sterling

    The Master Chorale, under the direction of Don Johnson, with accompanist Mary L. Smith, will present its 27th spring concert Sunday, May 6, at 4 p.m. in the Dorothy Corsberg Theater at North- eastern Junior College in Sterling.
    The event includes a special performance by classical guitarist Stephen Waechter, who will also accompany the chorale on “Serena Estrela,” in the original Portuguese language, by Regina Freitas, arranged by Rogerio Leonel, which is the debut United States performance of this piece by special permission from the composer and arranger.
    The Sterling High School jazz choir, under the direction of Annette Lambrecht, will also be part of the performance.
