Methodist church collecting new and used shoe donations

Holyoke First United Methodist Church is once again hosting a shoe drive. New and used footwear can be dropped off in boxes at the church, Strandz Salon and Holyoke Marketplace anytime through July 14.

Once the church collects enough pairs of shoes, which is measured in pounds, its corporate partner, Funds2Orgs, will process the shoes and sell them at substantial discounts to small entrepreneurs in developing countries. The church will receive a check for the contribution, and the proceeds will benefit the church’s food pantry.
