MMHF honors community with Philanthropic Award

Due to COVID-19, the Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors chose to not hold its annual Legacy of Thanks that is traditionally held in November.  

This year’s event, which was originally set for Nov. 8, was canceled several months ago.

Legacy of Thanks is held in November each year to thank the foundation’s many donors for their support of MMHF and MMH. This event honors donors, medical professionals and staff, current scholarship recipients and the award recipients.

The foundation traditionally selects recipients for outstanding business, philanthropist, youth, adult volunteer, MMH “Angel” and the executive director award.

This year the foundation board chose to award only one award — the Philanthropy Award — with it speaking volumes to show the appreciation and deep gratitude they have for the Holyoke community and surrounding communities.
