National Nursing Home Week jam-packed with special activities enjoyed by residents and staff

    May 12-18 marked National Nursing Home Week, and Holyoke’s Regent Park and Carriage House pulled out all the stops to celebrate.
    The week started off with a Mother’s Day celebration. Monday featured activities throughout the day that culminated in an evening luau.
    Time was taken Tuesday morning to honor the volunteers that give of their time to make a difference. More activities led up to a casino night that was said to be quite a hit.
    Wednesday was an all-day carnival, with a barbecue at lunchtime. The community was invited to share a meal with the residents outside on a beautiful spring day.
