Cornelia (Corky) Neuswanger was a beloved feature writer for The Wray Gazette for over 25 years. Many of her faithful readers had asked her to collect her stories into a book, and shortly before her death in 2010, she began organizing her favorite stories.

Now, 10 years later, her children have finally completed this project and are pleased to announce that the book “Here We Belong: Stories of Life in Small-Town Colorado” has been published. The book is a collection of some of Neuswanger’s — and her family’s — favorite stories.

Neuswanger once said about her writing, “If I can help others to see the good things about their lives and themselves, then I’m content. My hope is that readers will find themselves in a story and realize how special they are — and how good life is right here in Yuma County.”

This book is dedicated to the people of Wray, who were Neuswanger’s inspiration and a vital part of her life for over 65 years.
