Haxtun Town Council sees swimming pool draft
HAXTUN-FLEMING HERALD, Sept. 23 — On Sept. 14, Haxtun Town Council board members heard from Larry Steele with Miller and Associates, the company working on drawings for a new swimming pool.
Steele said his company is currently working on a pool project in Grant, Nebraska, and he was able to break away for a bit to visit Haxtun and present drawings to the council in person. The town of Haxtun contracted with Miller and Associates several months ago to develop plans for a new pool. The drawings phase totaled $2,700.

Yuma schools hit by COVID-19
YUMA PIONEER, Sept. 24 — As of Tuesday, there were five confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the Yuma schools, and approximately 280 students and staff under 14-day quarantine.
And probably at least 100 more have joined them in remote learning, as all of Yuma High School, which had 172 in quarantine as of Tuesday, is closed to in-person learning, as well as a classroom at Morris Elementary and now the seventh grade class at Yuma Middle School.
