After 21 years, Pepsi Center to be renamed Ball Arena as part of new partnership

DENVER POST, Oct. 22 — So long Pepsi Center.

Beginning Thursday, the home of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche will be known as Ball Arena as part of a multiyear global partnership between Ball Corporation and Kroenke Sports and Entertainment.

East Troublesome fire explodes

DENVER POST, Oct. 22 — Driven by strong winds and racing through dry fuels and timber, the East Troublesome fire in Grand County continued to rage Thursday, growing to 170,000 acres as it crossed the Continental Divide and forced new evacuations around Estes Park.
