Voters could see street question on November ballot
HAXTUN-FLEMING HERALD, Feb. 10 — Haxtun residents could see a ballot question in November pertaining to a major street project. Council members along with Town Superintendent Ron Carpenter looked over several different scenarios to fund the project during a Feb. 1 meeting at the Haxtun Community Center.
According to Carpenter, the project would include 42 blocks of street, which have been mapped out to include those that have been deemed beyond patching, as well as some curb and gutter. Total, he said, the project is estimated to cost $1.6 million.

Licht’s Bucs win SB title
YUMA PIONEER, Feb. 11 — Jason Licht’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers romped their way to a 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Super Bowl LV in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Licht, who is the general manager, and his staff have built a roster over the past several years that was just needing a top quarterback to take it all the way. The Bucs obviously got that when living legend Tom Brady signed in the off-season.
