    WRAY GAZETTE, June 20 — The Wray School District is excited to announce that the State Board of Education has approved the recommendation of the Colorado Department of Education’s Building Excellent Schools Today board that the district be awarded a grant for $18,974,060.46.

Certified Angus Beef brand marks 40th anniversary with barn paintings
    WRAY GAZETTE, June 20 — In 2018, the Certified Angus Beef brand is celebrating 40 years of bringing the best Angus beef to consumers. The brand’s familiar logo will be painted on 40 barns across America, an old-school marketing approach that’s a tip of the hat to the farmers and ranchers who created the brand in 1978 and lead it today.

Egan tops nation in stolen bases
    STERLING JOURNAL-ADVOCATE, June 22 — Alexis Egan earned her second consecutive Golden Spike Award for stealing more bases than any softball player in the country while at Iowa Central Community College during the 2018 season.
    The Sterling High School graduate tallied 74 stolen bases as a sophomore this past season, which is the most at any level of college softball including National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I, DII and DIII; National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics; and National Junior College Athletic Association.
