Board announces layout of Jenkins Street
JULESBURG ADVOCATE, July 20 — As a traditional town layout, Julesburg’s streets running east and west are named numerically, and those running north to south are named for trees. However, Julesburg’s newest street will not follow in tradition and will be named Jenkins Street.
Julesburg Town Board members gathered Wednesday to inform the public of the proposed I-76 Interchange Development. The meeting was well-attended.
Leading the meeting, Town Manager Allen Coyne explained a vision held by former Julesburg resident Darris Cumming. It was Cumming who was responsible for finding 25 investors to buy into the idea of purchasing the former Flying J property and to seek potential businesses to purchase and build at the site.
