Wastewater and lagoons continue to dominate Fleming TC discussions
HAXTUN-FLEMING HERALD, April 19 — Wastewater and sewer lagoons continue to be topics of discussion at Fleming Town Council meetings, and April’s was no different. Over the past month, members of the council met with representatives from the State Governor’s office about the required replacement of the town’s sewer lagoons.
Over the past few months, and even longer than that, Fleming has had recommendations coming from the State of Colorado to replace the current lagoons located southeast of town. During the recent meeting with State officials, it was decided that the Town of Fleming could first install monitoring wells in order to establish whether or not groundwater is being contaminated from the lagoons. If it is not, then Fleming will not be required to move forward with the project. However, if the monitoring wells show otherwise, the $2.4 million project will have to be completed.

Turkey hunting to be allowed within Wauneta city limits during spring season
THE WAUNETA BREEZE, April 20 — The subject of turkey hunting came up again at the Wauneta Village Board meeting held Tuesday, April 11. Board members took action to once again name the turkeys as nuisance animals and lift the firearm restriction in town for shotguns only during the spring turkey hunting season.
Through the end of spring turkey season, May 31, hunters may legally hunt turkeys on Village-owned property after gaining permission from the Village Office. Hunters are required to follow all laws and meet Nebraska Game and

Replica of Moses’ Tabernacle is coming to Fort Morgan
AKRON NEWS-REPORTER, April 19 — A life-size replica of the ancient Tabernacle of Moses is coming to Colorado for the very first time, and more specifically, to Fort Morgan, and will be there for 10 days, from Friday, May 5, to Sunday, May 14.
Trinity Lutheran Church is excited about bringing this opportunity to Fort Morgan and beyond. The replica of the portable sanctuary remains true to the precise size and layout of the original tabernacle constructed by Moses after the children of Israel were released from the bondage of Egypt. Moses constructed it using the specifications given to him by God as described in the book of Exodus of the Bible.
