Outside the 9 to 5: Art center adds first Friday evening events
Art aficionados will now have a new opportunity to take in the offerings of Holyoke’s Prairie Winds Art Center — and it even works with the typical workday. “First Fridays” will feature a unique evening art event at PWAC on the first Friday of each month from April through October.
First Fridays will include art workshops, classes and demonstrations. Information will be available in the calendar section of the PWAC website, prairiewindsartcenter.org, as they are scheduled. PWAC is located at 443 S. Interocean Ave. For additional information call 970-580-1939.
Molly Brown living history is April 6 first Friday event
April’s first Friday event will be a presentation of living history by Caryl Harvey, as she portrays Margaret (Molly) Brown and her Irish immigrant maid Katy in “From the Tenements to the Titanic.”
The performance will begin April 6 at 7 p.m. The program will be followed by a discussion with Harvey and an opportunity to ask questions about Margaret Brown and the times in which she lived. Refreshments will be served.
